The 18-year old maverick earlier earn a callup to the Black Meteors ahead of the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations after been recommended by the technical team.

Daniel Afriyie is managed by Alhaji Ibrahim Malik the Chief Executive of Pacific Football Club - a club that helps mentor players in the country-.
He plays for lower-tier side Republicans of Academy.
