Lupita Nyong’o shines as she rocks diamonds worth over $3.5 million to 2020 SAG Awards

Popular Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o rocked a classy Loius Vuitton gown which reportedly has over 30,000 crystals and sequins to the 2020 SAG Awards.

According to Daily Mail, the gown went through a very delicate process that took over 106 hours to assemble. It was created by the company’s famous director, Nicolas Ghesquiere.

Her diamond earrings were estimated to be $3.5 million worth of Forevermark diamond that has over 32 carats of diamonds.

She made a big fashion statement with her three rings that are busted with 23 carats diamonds, while her bracelets are made of over 33 carats diamonds.

The Us actress was billed to present at the awards event and also competed for the outstanding performance by a female actor in a lead.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh understands that Nigerian author who is also a pop-culture enthusiast, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, would be having her bestselling book, Americanah, adapted for the screen by HBO’s Warner Media.

Lupita would be playing the role of Ifemelu, the protagonist that the coming-of-age and transatlantic Nigerian-American story revolves around.

The movie will be a 10-episode series and the screenplay was written by the enigmatic showrunner, Danai Gurira.
