Anthony Joshua dismisses Tyson Fury's Deontay Wilder knockout claim

Anthony Joshua has dismissed Tyson Fury's claim that American boxer Deontay Wilder will knock him out in just two rounds.

Since Anthony Joshua started his professional boxing career, the 30-year-old never lost a fight against any opponent until when Andy Ruiz defeated him in the US.

Joshua's defeat against the Mexican-American came as a big shock to many boxing lovers as they never expected him to be beaten by Andy Ruiz.

The first defeat, however, forced Anthony Joshua and his crew to call for a rematch against Andy Ruiz which the Mexican-American boxer agreed with.

But Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz via unanimous decision to reclaim his belts back when they met in Saudi Arabia last month.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury will be facing Deontay Wilder in a big rematch on February 22, and ahead of the fight, the Briton explained that his opponent will knock out Joshua in just two rounds.

Anthony Joshua has now responded claiming that his fellow countryman is not someone who should be taken seriously branding him as a 'waffler'.

"He bet on Charles Martin to beat me, he bet on Joseph Parker to beat me! He's a bit of a waffler,'' Anthony Joshua told Sky Sports.

Joshua also explained that he is supporting Tyson Fury to beat Deontay Wilder because he wants the local kids to be able to watch championship fights at their doorsteps.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Anthony Joshua hit back at his critics after the two-time heavyweight champion was heavily criticized for prostrating for President Muhammadu Buhari- a gesture many thought was unnecessary.

Joshua had Buhari and presented his heavyweight belts to him in a beautiful scene that sent delight into the hearts of Nigerians across the world.
