Andre Ayew was adjudged the third best with most tackles across the four divisions of English football including the top-flight Premier League.

The latest statistics show that the Swansea City ace is the third-best striker with most tackles across the four divisions of English football including the top-flight Premier League.

In a report sighted on Ghanasoccernet.com, the statistics imply that apart from his duties of scoring goals for his club, he also contributes immensely in winning balls for his side which is another added quality for a player.

Such statistics are what endears players to clubs as they seek to augment their squads with quality signings and this bodes well for the Ghana captain.

Ayew, 30, has been one of the top performers for the Jack Army in the Championship, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists.

The former West Ham forward's incessant scoring rate has overshadowed the work he puts in every game.

According to Playmakerstarts, the Ghana international has made 56% tackles in the 34 matches played for Steve Coopers' men this term.

Ayew's record is dwarfed by only Ronan Curtis. The Portsmouth FC midfielder has made 69% tackles while West Ham United defender Emiliano Buendia sits second on the ranking with 57%.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that French football legend Thierry Henry is set to host Mario Balotelli and Kevin Prince Boateng on Instagram for an interview for PUMA football.

The two with Ghanaian lineage are PUMA Football ambassadors, and with all activities at standstill, the sport wear giants will engage their followers on social media with an interview.

Both players have had amazing football careers playing for some of the best clubs in the world.

Balotelli has played for English giants Manchester City and Liverpool, as well as French side Olympique Marseille.

The 29-year old is currently on the books of hometown club Brescia.
