American singer Kelly Clarkson has filed for divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock.

The 38-year-old singer is ending her marriage with Blackstock after being together for seven years.

According to court documents seen by CNN, Clarkson filed for divorce from her hubby, citing irreconcilable differences.

The two have been married since October 2013 and have two children together, River Rose and Remington Alexander.

Clarkson's husband, Blackstock also has two children from a previous marriage.

The two have been spending time at their Montana property where the singer recorded her daily television program and her appearances on NBC's The Voice.

In the documents, filed June 4, Clarkson, who filed as Kelly Blackstock, is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their children.

According to CNN, the court documents said the pair a prenuptial agreement.
