I'm proud of him - Maame Dokono celebrates 'son' Shatta Wale in video after Already release

Veteran Ghanaian actress and broadcaster, Maame Dokono, known in real life as Grace Omaboe, has reacted to the new Already video which features Ghana’s Shatta Wale.

The legendary actress excitedly stated she is proud of Shatta Wale for his latest achievement as a career musician.

Maame Dokono joined prominent global voices that have showered massive accolades on Shatta Wale following the release of the new Already video by Grammy-winning American singer, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter.

''I am very proud of Shatta Wale. He started very small and has now made it very big. He has made himself and the country proud. Ghanaians are really proud of him.''

The iconic Ghanaian actress who is famous as the host of the popular story-telling TV programme, By the Fire Side, was speaking in a recent interview.

Maame Dokono also revealed Shatta Wale was one of the child actors on the show.

''I am particularly proud of him because he was one of the kids I raised and shaped while he was growing up and now he has become very successful. I am proud of him.''

Maame Dokono finally extended words of advice to Shatta Wale as he continues to chalk greater heights in his career as a musician.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported the Beyonce released the new music video for Already from The Lion King: The Gift album on Thursday 30 July.

In another story, the husband of Beyonce and award-winning American rapper, Shawn Corey Carter, widely known as Jay Z, has shared the Already video on social media.

Following the release of the much-awaited video which has gained massive traction on social media across the globe, Jay Z has also taken part in the trend.

The American rapper has used his star power to also push the song on social media and by so doing, has promoted Shatta Wale. In a post on Twitter that has caught fire already, Jay Z shared the Already video with the caption, "Black Is King".
