Lawyers Sacked from Roll of Lawyers

The General Legal Council has struck out the names of several legal practitioners from the roll of lawyers in Ghana for flouting the legal code of conduct.

For the past week, the General Legal Council  published in various newspapers names and photographs of the disbarred lawyers who have been disbarred for various offences that violate the code of conduct of the council.

A visit to the Accra Circuit courts revealed  the names of the disbarred members on the notice board of the court. This notice is replicated on other boards of the other courts across the country.

Some of the lawyers who have been disbarred include; Andy Darko Agyemang, Seth Kwame Awuku and Isaac Agyemang Duah Baffour.

In an interaction with one prosecutor at the Accra Circuit court he hinted that  Awuku is a convicted sex offender in Canada who sneaked into Ghana to practice his profession after he was disbarred in the North American Country.

He also added that Agyemang was also disbarred in London after he duped his clients and failed to repay after he was ordered to do so.
