NPP Results Fair: Infrastructural achievements of the Akufo-Addo-led government
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was sworn into power in January 2017 and since then, the party has boasted of some projects they have undertaken.

According to Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the government is not just building infrastructure but the NPP government is focused on building a nation
Bawumia revealed that the NPP initiated 17,334 infrastructural projects out of which it has completed 8,746 with the remaining 8,588 still underway.
He made this known at the Town Hall Meeting at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in Accra on Tuesday, August 18.
YEN.com.gh is, however, highlighting on some of the projects in the various sectors of the economy like health, education, just to mention a few.

1. 4 State-of-the-art interchanges under construction
They are located at Tamale, Pokuase, Tema and Obetsebi Lamptey Circle
2. Agricultural infrastructural development
100 greenhouses completed and commissioned, 100 store/warehouses completed helping with storage of food
3. Irrigation
1Village 1 Dam.
Small earth dams and dugouts in communities with irrigation challenges
Pwalugu multipurpose dam. CAPACITY for 24,000 hectres of land. Upon completion, it will be the single largest infrastructural development in the Northern region since independence
4. Health Care
243 CHPS compounds completed and 186 still ongoing, 4 District hospitals completed
Maternity blocks 36 completed and 19 ongoing, 4 completed polyclinics with 3 more underway. 68 Staff accommodation completed, with 43 more underway. 1 theatre block construction underway.
Drone stations at Omeneko, Mampong, Vobsi, Sefwi Wiawso
Infectious disease centre. Built and commissioned within 100 days
National Ambulance service equipped with state of the art ambulances in every constituency
Also, Bawumia noted that 16 out of 20 inherited projects have been completed.
5. Water and Sanitation
612 boreholes constructed in various communities
250 boreholes constructed in Upper West Region
109,000 toilets built nationwide
5,000 communities cleared of open defecation

Somanya university project inherited from Mahama and completed by Akufo-Addo

In other news, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed that the Akufo-Addo led government has so far completed 16 health projects it inherited from the erstwhile Mahama government.
According to him, 30 ongoing projects in the health sector were inherited from the previous government, when the NPP assumed power.
Bawumia also noted that other health projects are also at various levels of completion.
