NPP MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan, has been spotted in the midst of her supporters as results from the parliamentary elections trickle in.

Lydia Alhassan faced off with star actor John Dumelo in one of the most popular parliamentary contests in the 2020 elections.

Alhassan has taken a big lead as early results from the constituency started coming in. Even though Dumelo has tried to cut down on the lead, it is still pointing in the direction of a victory for the NPP MP.

Alhassan seems to have had wind of an impending victory and she has stepped out in jubilant mode.

In a new video, sighted by YEN.com.gh, Maa Lydia has been spotted wearing white (a sign of victory) as supporters crowded around her and hailed her.

The NPP MP was all smiles as she responded to the cheers from her supporters.

The Energy Minister's early lead is not only impressive but historic as it happens to be the first time the NPP has won any polling station in the constituency.
