Ronaldo was also on target during Man United's disappointing 2-1 defeat against Swiss side Young Boys in the Champions League.
Henry, who equally had a brilliant football career believes the Portugal international is, without doubt, the best striker in the European elite competition.
According to the Arsenal icon, Ronaldo has to be given credit for what he has achieved in his stellar career thus far.
"You have to give this guy a lot of credit, why? Because simply what he has done with the national team, what he’s doing right now for United," he told CBS Sports.
"What he has been doing for Juve, Real Madrid and United before, it is second to none if we’re talking about a No.9, you have to give him his respect," he added.
The Frenchman went on to name Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema as the second-best striker in the Champions League, with Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski third best.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo will be looking to continue with his stunning start to life at Man United when the Red Devils take on Villareal in their second UCL group fixture on Wednesday, September 29.
