Farmer butchered to death for owing GH¢ 12.00

- A farmer in the Brong Ahafo Region has been butchered to death for owing a debt of GH¢ 12.00.

- The murderer has been identified as a 25-year-old man in the Sene West district

- The 50-year old was pronounced dead upon arrival

A 50-year-old farmer has been butchered to death by a 25-year-old man in the Sene West district of the Brong Ahafo Region over a debt of GH¢ 12.00.

It all started when the farmer, upon collecting an amount of GH¢ 27.00 from mother of the suspect, failed to fulfill his promise hence the pressure to pay back the balance - an amount that saw the deceased farmer only pay an amount of GH¢ 15.00

The deceased farmer, is feared to have been pronounced dead upon arrival as doctors say he suffered major stab wounds around his body at the Kwame Danso Government Hospital.

Meanwhile the district police commander for Sene West, ASP Dompreh has confirmed the incident as police investigations into the matter continue.
