Works on the Kotokuraba Market in Cape Coast is steadily progressing, with about 70 per cent of it completed. A recent screenshot of the project has seen the project steadily reaching completion ahead of its June 2016 timeline.
The market which has been described by Vice President Amissah Arthur as one of the finest on Africa will comprise shops, banks, hospitals and schools. It will also have a car park, an office block, a parking lot, restaurants, a fire department, offices, a drainage system and walkways to ensure the free movement of traders and customers.
Work on the project began in December 2014 after a court in Cape Coast had ordered the demolition of the old project to make way for the stadium.
