Photos: Mahama attends daughter's speech & prize giving day

President John Mahama put smiles on the face of his daughter, Farida, when he attended her speech and prize giving day at the Ghana International School at Cantonments in Accra.

Farida, 8, topped her class in mathematics and received a certificate of achievement to show for it.

President Mahama could be seen posing with Farida and later taking a group picture with her classmates.

The president also had fun with his daughter on the school's playground.

Last week, President Mahama threw light on the close bond he shares with Farida by revealing how she made him smile when she tried to console him on the loss of his mother, Hajia Fatima Abiba Nnaba.

In a tweet, the president said Farida Mahama told him to be cheerful because he still had her.
