Ghanaian gospel singer Florence Obinim has taken strong exception to claims by naysayers that she was bleaching her skin.

In a video that has since gone viral on TikTok and was sighted by YEN.com.gh, the wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim seemed upset as she set the record straight on her looks.

Speaking on the sidelines of Dada KD's funeral that was organised in Accra, Florence Obinim said she was not bleaching her skin, nor has she ever tried to do that.

In buttressing her point, Florence Obinim described her natural complexion as “chocolate skin” and proceeded to ask the interviewer if her appearance in any way suggested she was bleaching.

She then slammed UK-based Ghanaian socialite Captain Caesar, accusing him of peddling falsehoods about her.

“Some people might depend on such products but for me, I don’t. I have a chocolate colour, I use cocoa butter. You can even ask Nayas", she said in the interview.

The Osoro Ne Me Fie hitmaker then wondered why some bloggers, in particular, go to such lengths to tarnish the reputation of celebrities and on-screen personalities.

At the time of writing the report, the video had racked up over 3,000 likes and 200 comments.

Reactions to Florence Obinim's bleaching allegations rant

Social media users who took to the comments section of the video commended Florence for bringing finality to the issue and calling out Captain Caesar.
