Conflicting reports have emerged about the condition of the Weija-based church since the imprisonment of its founder and leader.

Nana Agradaa, whose real name is Patricia Asiedua, was jailed for 15 years with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court on July 3, 2025.

The controversial evangelist was convicted on two counts of defrauding by false pretences and one count of charlatanic advertisement.

Nana Agradaa was originally arrested in 2022 in connection with allegations of operating a money-doubling scam at her church.

Nana Agradaa’s church abandoned after imprisonment

Following her incarceration, Ghanaian blogger The Onaapo Family visited the premises of Nana Agradaa's church to check its condition.

In a viral video, he showed that the church had been left abandoned.

The video showed that the building's wall was crumbling, and the compound appeared flooded and overrun with weeds after recent rains.

Weeks after the release of that video, Nana Agradaa’s close associate, Agradaa Ba Gyemeso, visited the church to debunk the claims that it was abandoned and filthy.

He took a tour of the premises, showing a radically different situation from what the Onaapo Family had witnessed.
