The Veep paid a working visit to the Ashanti Region on September 29, 2025, to hold engagements with market traders and traditional leadership.
She visited the Krofrom Market in the regional capital, Kumasi, where she pledged to complete the project that had stalled for over 18 years.
Professor Opoku Agyemang also visited the Mamponteng and Suame markets to engage with traders and listen to their concerns.

Vice President visits Otumfuo at Manhyia Palace
As part of her working visit, the Vice President paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at Manhyia Palace.
In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh, the senior politician arrived at the prestigious palace and was welcomed by palace officials.
She was ushered into the inner sanctum, where she met the Asantehene, dressed traditionally in cloth draped over one shoulder.
As they walked towards each other to shake hands, Otumfuo cracked a joke at the Veep’s expense, which left her laughing uncharacteristically.

Otumfuo warns Apostle Safo's family
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Otumfuo Osei Tutu warned Apostle Kwadwo Safo's family to refrain from petty misunderstandings while preparing for his funeral.
Former Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, led a family delegation to Manhyia Palace to officially inform the Asante monarch of the late Kristo Asafo founder's death.
In a video, the Asantehene was heard admonishing the family to ensure that arrangements for the late industrialist's death proceeded smoothly and without needless drama.
