According to the preacher, the man used to come to church with the van, and even once, he asked him for prayers, complaining that business was doing poorly.

He added that man even brought offerings to further cement his prayers.

"(He used to come to church with a hearse. One day I went outside and was surprised to see the van, I thought someone had died but I was told the vehicle belongs to a congregant...and it so happened that one day that congegant came to me and told me his business was not going well...he brought offerings...he asked me to pray for his business to thrive)."

At the time, Ng'ang'a says he did not know what business the man was into.

When he finally found out, the preacher claimed he advised the congregant to refrain from bringing the hearse to church.

The pastor, who recently denied grabbing prime Nairobi land to build his church, advised believers not to do such jobs because they thrive on other people's pain.

"Hiyo kazi hauwezifanya...utaomba Mungu namna gani..wasipokufa sasa kazi hakuna (You can't do that kind of job...how will you pray...if people don't die your business won't thrive)," he said.
