It all happened on Onua Maakye's show on Onua TV on Wednesday, April 1, when he decided to speak about a faulty air conditioner in the studio.

According to him, he had been complaining about the issue since October last year, but the problem had not been worked on by the appropriate authorities.

It was at this point that he indicated he would consider leaving his role, stating that Media General appeared to be favouring TV3 over Onua TV.

“So you won’t repair the AC? Mr Nuamah, please, if this was TV3’s air conditioner, it would have been done. If I complain, they will say I talk too much. If care is not taken, I will stop work. This has not been working since last October; up till now, we are still dealing with it, and we are still in the studio even though the AC is not working. If this was TV3’s air conditioner, it would have been done immediately.”

Yaw Dwarkwaa opined:

"Captain Smart, this is not the way to go. I believe this issue should have been handled differently instead of ranting on TV. I hope the executives will forgive him for the rant because this is a sackable offence. Even looking at his demeanour and how he said he would quit if this continues, hmm, this is bad."

Simon Adjardjah opined:

"Is this how you address concerns at your workplace?"

Daily_update opined:

"Maybe he has tried saying it professionally but got no response. From October, as he says, till now, six months wow. We are all different; I can’t do it, but I support you, master."

Efya Royal added:

"He wants to quit working for Media General, so he is using this as a yardstick."

Adiginas opined:

"Captain, please be professional. This is not the way to express your grievances, senior. You are a senior journalist, for God’s sake."
