African Man Marries 3 Women in Colourful Ceremony, First Wife Says "We Need 1 More Woman"

Tanzania - A man has left tongues wagging after he married three beautiful ladies in a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Athuman Yengayenga entered the mosque accompanied by three gorgeous women whose aim was to be married to one man.

Yengayenga, a resident of Shanwe, Mpanda Municipality in Katavi province, Tanzania, said his target was to marry four women after getting angry at his ex-wife leaving him.

Challenges of marrying more than one woman

He wanted to marry many women so that if another wife left him again, he would remain with the others.

"It's by sheer luck. It is also challenging as you cannot get three women in a row and ask to marry all of them at once, and they agree," he told AZAM TV.

Fatuma Rafaeli, Asha Pius and Mariam John also shared their thoughts on sharing one man and being co-wives.

Jealousy among three co-wives

They agreed jealousy would be there as they were all human beings but would strive to live together in harmony.

"We are not yet complete. We need one more woman," Fatuma, the first wife, said as she adjusted her veil.

Yengayenga came from a polygamous family hence having many wives was a regular custom to him.

However, marrying three young ladies at once surprised his family as that was unheard of.

Three men share one woman, live under same roof

In a similar story, a woman married her brother-in-law and two men after her husband of eight years died in a car accident.

Nellie married her brother-in-law after her husband, with whom she had two kids, perished in a car accident.

She later married her second and third husbands in different timelines, keeping them under the same roof.

She said she satisfied all their needs and was confident they would not cheat on her as everything they wanted she gave them.
