Design
First, the S20 Ultra is available in two colors; Cosmic Black and Grey. Second, it is more stylish as compared to its last two predecessors, the S20 and S20+.
It has an aluminum metal designed-frame. Also, its front and back are made of a Gorilla Glass 6. Perhaps this explains why it can stay in 1.5 m depth of water up to half an hour without any damages.
Third, the power and volume buttons are positioned on the right-hand side, which is a good thing for many people. Fourth, unlike other Android phones, it has its ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor positioned slightly above on the screen. Fifth, the loudspeaker is placed on the bottom near the primary mic. Lastly, the SIM card and memory card slots are placed on top of the phone.
Display

Of all the S-series smartphones, the Ultra model has the largest display. To begin with, it has a 6.9-inch screen. With this screen size, the phone can achieve a 3200 x 1440px resolution in the 20:9 aspect ratio. That aside, it also has a 120Hz refresh rate. Similarly, the screen is amazingly sensitive, 340Hz.
So far, the device has been proven to be brighter than Note 10+ and iPhone 11 Pro Max. It can achieve 894 nits in adaptive brightness mode. Also to note is that this brightness does not affect resolution or refresh rate whatsoever. Above all, the AMOLED feature allows users to have the best gaming and cinema experience one could hardly imagine.
The screen is also protected by a Gorilla Glass 6. Mind you, the glass does not interfere with sensitivity at all. The phone can respond to even a lighter touch, which is what everyone would want in a smartphone.
Processor, storage & performance
The S20 Ultra runs on the Samsung Exynos 9 Octa 990 chipset making its performance the fastest as compared to S20. In other words, you can game on this device for the longest time without it hanging or behaving strangely as it is the case to many smartphones. What is more, it boasts of 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded.
Some experts, on the other hand, believe that the device could have been fitted with the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The chipset was incorporated in the Galaxy S10. It has also been put into use by its competitor brands to create smartphones such as the iOOQ3 and Realme X50 Pro.

Battery
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G battery is another addition to its users. It has a commendable inbuilt battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. It is the first time the maker has hit such a high capacity. Last year, they managed to hit the 4500 mAh mark in the S10 5G and S10 Lite.
They might have settled for this capacity because of the device’s network and display capabilities. Its overall endurance rate is approximated to be 87 hours when set in the 120HZ/1080p mode.
The phone comes with a fast 25 W charging cable. It can roughly charge the device in less than 60 minutes. Similar to some previous models, the S20 Ultra has wireless charging capabilities. Similarly, it has the PowerShare feature, which enables it to charge other devices.
Speaker and call quality
If you are looking for a phone with the perfect audio, then the S20 Ultra might be your thing. First, it is equipped with stereo speakers. The speakers are pitched by AKG. Unlike the usual android phones, it lacks the 3.5mm jack. Instead, it supports wireless earphones.
Second, the call quality is also another thing that will make you fall in love with the S20 Ultra. The sound is livelier and vibrant, even when you are using wireless headphones.
Software
The phone has the best software on the market right now.
OS and features
The device runs on the latest Android operating system, version 10. With this version, it is easier to manage notifications, permissions for privacy purposes, and the dark theme, of course. On the other hand, it can be a challenge to slide over apps when using the gesture feature. Lastly, the user also gets to enjoy faster and advanced security features such as facial recognition and fingerprint scan.
Camera, video, and image quality
Arguably, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G camera quality stands outs amongst its competitors in the market right now. The triple camera, especially the wide-angle one, is designed using the Isocell Bright HM1 sensor. Interestingly, you can zoom images up to 100 times, and they still look original and remarkable.
Video quality is another aspect that makes this phone unique. First, it has a super steady shooting capability for 8K video. It can record an 8K video at 24 fps, while 1080p FHD can be shot at 60 fps. It can record both 4K UHD and 720 HD videos at 60 fps (3840x2160) and 30 fps (1280x720), respectively.
