Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Jepkemei noted that she came from a humble background and that school fees were challenging.
"They had to sell a piece of land to raise school fees for my education, which I will forever be grateful for. They believed in me, and I did not want to disappoint them. I promised them that I would repay their efforts and faith in me by doing well and making them proud," she said.
Mum emotional after big surprise
Jepkemei did just that as she surprised them with a luxurious car days before they celebrated their birthdays.
She said her arrival surprised her mum and dad, as she expressed her gratitude to them.
"My mother was pleased. She was emotional and said she did not expect something like this," Jepkemei revealed.
My parents sacrificed a lot, Jepkemei.
