Young Man Celebrates Renting One Room With Nothing in It, Says He’d Be Drinking Garri, Shares Photos

• After house-hunting for a while, a young man finally got a room for himself and took to social media to celebrate it
• He showed off the empty room and the key, saying he would be drinking garri and sleeping on the floor for a few months

A Nigerian youth, Chidera, has proudly announced renting a one-room abode after house hunting for a while.

Chidera shared pictures of the one-room house on Twitter as he excitedly flaunted its key.

The young man retweeted a June tweet wherein he mentioned how he was house hunting and found a place he liked but was above his budget, adding that someone rented the place for a lady in his presence.

On his house win, Chidera said he would drink garri and sleep on the floor for a few months.

He shared a list of household items and interior adornings he would need to furnish the room.

His tweet received massive support as people donated to help him get some of those items.

Man seeks help to furnish his self-con

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported that a Nigerian man had sought help to furnish his self-con.

In what is believed to be a move to live independently, the young man had moved out of his parent's house to a self-contained apartment.

Sharing photos of the empty self-con on Twitter, Yinka listed all he needed to furnish the apartment. In a list he attached in a fourth frame, the young man said he needed three small buckets of white paints, a shoe rack, a bed frame, and cash of any amount.
