Businessma Builds Spectacular $230,700,00 Mansion In The Sky: "Complex Structure"
- Vijay Mallya fled to the UK after commissioning a KSh 3 billion White House replica mansion on top of a skyscraper
- The mansion, set on top of the Kingfisher Towers, boasts a helipad, two pools, a wine cellar, and a stunning view of the city’s landmarks
- Vijay, who allegedly stole a lot of money, may never live in the house as he faces extradition from the UK for alleged fraud and money laundering
India - A sprawling White House replica home built 400 ft in Bangalore, India, has set tongues wagging.
House built on 40,000 square metres.
The house, which boasts aesthetic value and lavish composition, is owned by Vijay Mallya. The latter is the son of United Breweries Group founder Vittal Mallya.
Mail Online reports that the two-storey replica of the White House is built on top of Kingfisher Towers and covers an area of 40,000 square metres.

Irfan Razack, the chairman of Prestige Estates Projects, which is part of the joint project used to construct the tower, spoke to Unilad about the challenges they faced in its construction.
Helipad part of Vijay’s home
He said:
“It was a challenge to construct the mansion on a huge cantilever at that height, but we have ensured we built it exactly how it was conceived. It’s a complex structure, and the finishing work is going on.
We will finish the project as per contract and hand it over."
Some of the impressive features of the house include a wine cellar, an indoor heated pool, an outdoor infinity pool, and a rooftop helipad, among other amenities, but the finished product has remained shrouded in mystery since it was announced in 2010.
Beneath the grand mansion is a 34-storey skyscraper house with around 81 apartments across three blocks.
Who are Vijay’s neighbours?
The tycoon’s master house also borders Vidhan Souda to the left, Cubbon Park and Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in the front, Football/ Kanteerava Stadium at the back and Whole MG Road View to the Right.
Although the mansion is near completion, Vijay may not set foot in it; he left India in March 2016 after lenders and investigating agencies came after him for allegedly borrowing vast sums of money and never returning any of it.
Vijay fined KSh 4000
The 67-year-old has been fighting against the charges ever since, and India has attempted to extradite him from the UK, where he sought refuge.
In July last year, Mallya received a four-month jail term for contempt of court.
The tycoon, whose empire included a Formula One motor racing team, an Indian Premier League cricket franchise, breweries, distilleries, and an airline, received a fine of KSh 4000 (about £21) for transferring KSh 6 billion ($40 million) to his children, contravening court orders.
