The country director of ASPIRE Academy, Captain Andy Sam has revealed that plans are far advanced for Argentine international and Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi to visit Ghana to support a charity event.
According to Captain Sam, who spoke to sports24gh.com, Messi will be here sooner than later to support the Aspire Academy’s ‘Football Combating Malaria’ project which has been fully endorsed by the Argentine super star’s LEO MESSI FOUNDATION.
The project aims at putting in effort to support the Ministry of Health’s anti malaria campaign by donating anti-mosquito bed nets to young people and their families across the African continent.

Captain Sam expressed his joy at the Academy’s affiliation with the Leo Messi Foundation because the Aspire Academy provides hundreds of 13- year olds the opportunity to develop and become great footballers like the football legend, Lionel Messi.
