Full list of 1,096,404 jobs by NPP government

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has released a breakdown of the over one million jobs created in the past 15 months of the Akufo-Addo administration.

The announcement by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah at the launch of the Nation Builders Corps in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on May Day led to a lot of questions, especially from the minority NDC.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), challenged the claims by the government, considering that on numerous occasions in the past, statistics have not been made available to back such assertions.

But a list, sighted by YEN.com.gh indicates that, over 70% of the jobs created was through the Agric Ministry’s ‘Planting for food and jobs’ programme.

The list also revealed that several of the interventions made by the Akufo-Addo government is between January 2017 and March 2018.

In all a total of 1,096,404 jobs have been created. Attached is the breakdown.

The document indicated that a total of 108,943 jobs were created in the private formal sector within the 15-month period.
