Freddie's Corner CEO dashes phones to sympathizers at his mother's funeral

YEN.com.gh has sighted a video in which top businessman, Mr. Alfred Korley Matey is reported to have taken his mother's funeral to another level by giving parting gifts of mobile phones to mourners at the ceremony.
The Chief Executive Officer of the leading phone dealer in Ghana, Freddies Corner, Mr. Alfred Korlie Matey gifted out hundreds of phones to sympathizers who were present at his late 95-year-old mum’s funeral.
The burial rite of the late 95 years old Madam Victoria Adjoe Amekudjie popularly known by the acronym NDAA, was held at the N.V.T.I near the Gethsemane Cemetery in East Legon on September 1, 2018.

Sympathizers were seen in long queues and were given the opportunity to win a phone by answering some questions about the businessman's late mother.
One sympathizer was tasked to mention the first name of the businessman's late mum while another sympathizer was asked to tell her.
All correct answers merited a brand new phone and it is reported that there were more than 100 phones given out for free.
Later, the businessman himself, Mr. Alfred Korlie Matey, hit the dance floor as he danced to the popular 'Sweet Mother' song all the while being flanked by friends, family and some sympathizers.
Some people who were urging him on were seen splashing cash on him as he danced to the admiration of all those who were in attendance.

The burial ceremony saw prominent and media personalities like former professional boxer Azumah Nelson, CEO of Franko Trading Enterprise Mr. Frank Osei, CEO of the Despite Group of Companies Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, CEO of Special Groups of Companies Dr. Ofori Sarpong.
Other top people who also graced the funeral ceremony with their presence were Prof. Opanin Kofi Agyekum, COP Oppong Boanum, Peace FM’s Kofi Kum Billson, Akosua Sarpong and Maame Biamah , Adom TV’s Afia Tamakloe and Kweku Adu Kumi.
Peace FM’s Presenter, Nana Yaa Konadu, Adom FM’s Maame Yeboah Asiedu and GH One TV's Kweku Temeng were the official MC's for the burial ceremony.
