Ghanaians on social media have slammed the SRC of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) for honouring Fella Makafui as a beacon of feminism and women empowerment.
The budding actress was honoured by the school, who described her as one who has played a vital role in women empowerment across the globe.
In a citation, the school’s SRC said Fella Makafui has “consistently manifested singular willingness to render your support to the world.”

The YOLO actress was also hailed for her “level of activism and diligence you have displayed towards the growth and protection of feminism.”
Sections of the said citation reads: “You toiled to make dreams come true for most women around the globe.
“A feminist, a leader per excellence, you became a source of empowerment for women. Time and time again, you consistently manifested singular willingness to render your support to the world.”
It added: “The level of activism and diligence you have displayed towards the growth and protection of feminism is greatly appreciated. Indeed, we are grateful for your efforts in promoting feminism in Ghana."

Meanwhile, Fella Makafui reportedly owns four businesses which employs about 30 people.
However, many Ghanaians on social media were perplexed by KTU SRC’s decision to confer such an honour on the actress.

While some slammed the school, other’s called on the SRC president to resign.
