Alleged factors that contributed to Junior Agogo's demise

- Former Black Stars striker Manuel Junior Agogo has reportedly passed on this morning August 22, 2019

- After few years of battling with illnesses, the footballer gave up his last breathe at a hospital in London

- Some factors were said to have contributed to the death of the former Zamalek forward

Former Black Stars and Zamalek striker Junior Agogo is said to have passed on today August 22, 2019.

According to reports, the striker died at a hospital in London after battling with some illnesses about four years now.

The striker is remembered by most Ghanaians for his thrilling performance at the 2008 African Cup of Nations tournament held in Ghana.

Called into the team for the first time, Junior Agogo was able to score important goals enabling them reach the semi-finals.

YEN.com.gh has however conducted a research into possible factors that contributed to Junior Agogo's demise.

1. Smoking and drinking

According to reports, Junior Agogo is one player who does not care much about his health and fitness.

The player is said to be someone who drinks and smokes even though players are not allowed to do so.

Junior Agogo is reported to love clubbing and having fun as he was spotted many times in the club.

Heavy drinking and smoking is something that surely has effect on people's health, triggering their death if care is not taken.

2. Living lavish and fun with ladies

Junior Agogo is someone who is said to love living an expensive life where he eats all kinds of food.

As a footballer, one must not eat all kinds of meat and food but Agogo is said to be someone who breaks the rule often.

The players is also said to be a lover boy as he often goes haywire in the arms of very beautiful ladies.

Having extended affair with ladies can be dangerous especially with the situation where he suffered stroke.

3. Stroke and other health conditions

One condition that is likely to have contributed immensely to Junior Agogo's death is the stroke he suffered.

Since 2015, the players has been battling with stroke where he was not able to walk or stand firm on his feet.

For few years, Junior Agogo was bed-ridden due to the stroke as it was said to have affected him greatly.

Aside suffering from stroke, the player underwent rehabilitation two years ago but could still not get better until his demise.

4. Lack of funds to cure the illnesses

Junior Agogo was said to have had a tough time raising funds for his complicated medical conditions.

At a time, friends and families were asked to donate cash so that the player can undergo some surgeries.

Junior Agogo's lack of cash to cater for himself was alluded to the fact that his former club Zamalek owed him some cash and refused to pay.
