Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has received the plaque for the Best International Flow award he won at the 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip Hop Awards.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie won Best International Flow category at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards held in October 2019 at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sarkodie was nominated alongside six other acts, Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada) and he became the first person to win the newly created category.
By this proud feat, he also became the first-ever Ghanaian to win an award at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
About three months after being announced as the winner, the rapper has finally laid his hands on the official plaque.
In a video sighted YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie gave fans the privilege of watching him unbox the prestigious award plaque after receiving it.
In the video shared on social media, expressed his appreciation to his fans as he unboxed the package.
“For a minute the package is in, it’s been sitting here finally I am here, I am about to see it, I want you guys to have the experience to see the Best International Flow award for Ghana. I won’t even say it’s for Ghana,” he said.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh recently reported how Sarkodie responded to viral social media reports that his wife, Tracy Sarkcess, had given birth to a baby boy in the United Kingdom.
