A young criminal from Ghana whose name has not been disclosed was captured in a viral video undertaking a rather hilarious punishment of lifting weight after being caught in the act of stealing.

The video was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Instagram handle of Celebritiesbuzzgh in which the gentleman was seen shaking vigorously whilst undergoing the punitive activity.

Reports indicate that the gentleman was highly inexperienced in theft, for which he chose to perform the criminal activity in the 'wrong zone'.

It is thought that the experience he received from the well-built men at the local gym centre would deter him from embarking on any such adventure in the future.

The exact location, act of theft and name of the young man were not disclosed but it appears that it happened at a part of Accra as Ga was being spoken in the video.

He was heard saying, "Please forgive me, oh my elders" repeatedly in the language of Ga's. It is hoped the young man's video would send a signal to everyone contemplating theft to stop.
