1. Mabel has 5 siblings

Mabel Aku Baneseh biography is quite interesting. She was born to humble parents, she has five siblings. The journalist went to Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School. She later joined the Ghana Institute of Journalism to study Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies), Journalism.

2. She moved to Accra at eight years

She relocated to the city when she was relatively young, at the age of eight. She and her mother used to sell cocoyam, plantain, and salt to make ends meet.

3. The journalist completed her studies at Ghana Institute of Journalism in 2011

After completing her studies at the prestigious Ghana Institute of Journalism, Journalist Mabel Aku Banaseh started working at GBC. She has also worked at the Ministry of Defence and state-owned Daily Graphic.

The respected journalist is married to Lieutenant Colonel Jude Barry. The couple are parents to two children, Julia and Jude.

6. The journalist recently resigned from Graphic in 2019

In 2019, she tendered her resignation from Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL). The award-winning journalist resigned from the state-owned media company after faithfully working in the establishment for 18 years. She announced on her Facebook page. Interesting to note, Baneseh resignation came as a surprise to many who least expected it.

The journalist stated that after her resignation, she would now concentrate on her family and personal well-being. She also revealed that she would also be offering private consultancy services, charity work, and her second book.

The journalist wears many hats. She is a wife, mother, journalist, philanthropist, consultant, and author, among many others. In 2015, The Graphic Communications Group Limited launched the book, Pink Sheets, highlighting the events that took place during the 2012 presidential election petition at the Supreme Court of Ghana.

The book has ten chapters and recounts the court proceedings that took place. The occurrences took place from the filing of processes till the end of the hearing, which lasted for about eight months. The book was launched by Justice Joseph Akamba, on behalf of the Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood.
