With the lead of over 518,000 votes, "it is statistically impossible for John Mahama to achieve 50% + 1 to win, " Joy News' Evans Mensah stated.

This is because the total number of votes from the remaining five constituencies amounts to 184, 576 votes and going by the average voter turn out of 78%, there are about 145,000 votes which will still be short even if Mahama is to win all of them.
