- Some workers helping persons with HIV/AIDS are rather sleeping with them

- Global Funds says this has affected their funds to HIV/AIDS NGOs in Ghana

- The research was titled; “Misconduct affecting Global Fund grants”

The Global Funds, an international organization that provides funding for humanitarian crises, has issued a report indicating that some workers of an organization helping HIV/AIDS patients are having intimate relations with these persons.

Titling their research as “Misconduct affecting Global Fund grants”, the report lamented the development calling for swift investigation and possible diversion of funds from the said company.

“Multiple NAP+ executives demanded that program members engage in sexual conduct or provide financial kickbacks in order to access events and benefits supported by grant funds, which constituted corrupt and coercive practices,” the report said.

According to the research unit, the main reason for NDC’s victory will be that President Akufo-Addo should have completed his 8-year-tenure hence the normal trend of power going to the next main opposition political party.

Even though John Dramani Mahama is touted as the possible candidate for the NDC in 2024, the EIU in its report indicates that opposition party may go in for a new leader.

“The next parliamentary and presidential elections are due in 2024. Under the constitutionally mandated term limits, Mr. Akufo-Addo cannot run for a third term. Mr. Mahama is reportedly considering whether to run again, but we expect the NDC to seek to revitalize its prospects with a fresh candidate.”
