Arsenal's ultimatum
According to British news outfit Telegraph, after suffering losses to Brentford and Chelsea in the opening two games, the next five games will be crucial to Arteta's job at the Emirates.
Arsenal's next game will be an EFL Cup clash against West Brom and travel away to the Etihad to face Premier League champions Man City at the Etihad.
And if the Gunners decide to part ways with the Spanish gaffer, the club will turn the attention to former Chelsea manager Conte.
Conte is currently without a job after being relieved of his duties weeks after helping Inter reclaim the Serie A title.
After the clash at the Etihad, the Gunners will face newly-promoted Norwich City before taking on Burnley at Turf Moor, then the crunchy north London derby against Tottenham at the Emirates.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that Thomas Tuchel has been waxing lyrical about his new summer signing Romelu Lukaku after making a scoring debut in Chelsea colours, Mirror.
The Belgian striker opened his account for the season in the 14th minute in the 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
And the 28-year-old was a thorn in the flesh for Gunners defenders and midfielders as Lukaku's physical presence held them off on several occasions.
YEN.com.gh also reported that Ex-EPL stars have predicted where Arsenal will finish after poor start to the season.
Former Tottenham Hotspur players, Darren Bent and Jamie O'Hara, have predicted Arsenal could finish in the bottom half of the table this season.
The Gunners kicked off the 2021/22 campaign on the wrong footing, having already lost two of their opening fixtures.
The Mikel Arteta-tutored side were humbled 2-0 by newly-promoted Brentford in their season opener before falling to rivals Chelsea by a similar score line at the weekend.
While the north Londoners have been the Premier League's heaviest spenders this summer, both Bent and O'Hara do not see them competing favourably this term.
