Multi award winning Twi rapper Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo, was named 9th on Forbes Magazine's May 2017 edition. The Chief Executive Officer of SarkCess Music is the only Ghanaian artist to have made it on to the Forbes list.
Sarkodie joins a league of affluent African musicians that includes the likes of Senegalese musician Akon, Nigerian music moguls Don Jazzy and Wizkid, and veteran South African jazz musician Hugh Masekela.
