Two differently-abled children

Makina Magemba has two differently-abled children, and he is the only one who takes care of them since their mum abandoned the family.

"She left saying she could not continue taking care of them when they are like that," said Magemba on ABC TV Zambia's Facebook page.

Change his daughter's pads

The man from Lusaka's Kalikiliki Compound says it breaks him that he has to change his daughter's pads every month.

Magemba makes his daughter's pads from his own shirts; in other instances, he looks for the used pads and cleans them for re-use by the girl.

Magemba is now asking well-wishers to help with food snd sanitary pads for his dear daughter.

When netizens heard about his situation they were so shocked. Below are their comments:

Rewarded by kind people

In other news, a man who used to carry his physically challenged kid to school for years was rewarded by kind people online.

The father said that as long as he has strength in him, he will keep supporting his kid and taking him to school.

After finding out what the family needed, a young man raised money and bought the kind man a new vehicle for transportation.
