Kisii Woman, 23, Working As Housekeeper In Qatar Builds Her Parents Posh Bungalow In Record 4 Months

• Mildred Bichanga travelled to Doha, Qatar, two years after completing her secondary school education
• The 23-year-old had promised to build her parents a lovely home as a token of appreciation and to better their lives
• The woman from Kisii said he started building the house in 2024 and only took her four months to finish it

A hardworking young lady has left many impressed with her inspiring story as she shows the fruits of her labour.

Mildred Bichanga, the first of six children, said she had a tough childhood that catapulted her desire to improve her life and her parents'.

She did not want to better her life before her parents, who had endured a lot to care for the family.

When did Bichanga complete secondary education?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the 23-year-old said she has faced opposition from the first family, who don't want to see her family succeed.

"They do not want to see us successful. That is one reason that pushes me daily. I promised my mother that I would make life easier and better for her. It was more about her, it was for her," she said.

After completing her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2019, Bichanga could not continue her studies because of the coronavirus pandemic.

When did Bichanga go to Qatar?

Two years later, she went to Qatar to work as a housekeeper in her pursuit of changing her family's life.

"Despite the challenges, I refused to give up whenever I remember the tough times at home. I promised my mother, and I was planning to keep it. I began building this year, and the house was done within four months. It is a three-bedroom house that cost me about KSh 1.7 million, including furniture," Bichanga happily said.

Do children need parents' blessings?

The mum of one from Kisii also encouraged the young people to care for their parents, especially when they are alive.

"To make it in life, you need your parents' blessings. What better way to do that than by making them happy? The blessings of parents go a long way," she said, adding that she did not inform her parents of the plans to begin building this year.

In a similar story, aman from Meru built his mother a magnificent house as a token of appreciation to her.

Teacher Safari Bornface Tuluba said he built the fantastic house for his mum within two years of the groundbreaking.

He claimed he was brought up from a humble background and wanted to do something heartwarming for his mum.
