Popular Netherlands-based Ghanaian social media personality Kofi Gabs, alias Mr Happiness, has raised concerns regarding the plans to extradite Ghanaian socialite and businessman Abu Trica to the US for alleged fraud-related crimes.
In a video on his TikTok page on April 1, 2026, Mr Happiness objected to President John Mahama’s recent statement, where he said he would not like to comment on the extradition request of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

Mahama also stated that he would not interfere in the American judicial process.
Reacting to the claim made by Mahama, Mr Happiness stated that Ghana has leverage and should also request that the US extradite Ken Ofori-Atta, adding that failure to do so would mean Abu Trica is also not sent to the US to face the law.

Abu Trica to be extradited to US
The comments by Mr Happiness come after the Gbese High Court ruled on the extradition case involving embattled Ghanaian socialite and businessman Abu Trica to the US for alleged fraud-related crimes.
The court reportedly directed that the alleged internet fraud suspect be handed over to US authorities for extradition proceedings and granted him 15 days to file documents to contest the ruling.
It also dismissed an application filed by his lawyers and rejected claims that his arrest was politically motivated or amounted to entrapment.
Abu Trica is facing charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracy, and forfeiture specifications.
He is facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted in the US for his alleged crimes.
