"Germany is the place where your colleague will pretend they don't know you after work. You will say hello to them at the bus station, and they will ignore you. But they will speak to you the next day after work."
"In my early days, I didn't know that I was not supposed to take my colleague's contact. There was a white lady at my workplace who was very nice to me. I thought she was interested in me, so I asked for her number. I asked for about three consecutive days. Even though she gave me the number, the white lady reported me for harassment," he added.
Alphonse narrated that his manager at the time called him to ask what had happened. He added that his boss told him not to return to the workplace since he would be arrested if he came back.
"I wanted to go back to at least take my shoes and other things, but my boss cautioned me against it. He told me that I'll be arrested if I go back to the workplace. Even though I was pained, I decided to listen to my boss. I had to leave the job. My boss saved me."
