Viral Couple Whose Wedding Became Sensation Says They're Often Mistaken For Kids
- Cyrus Azizi and his wife, Sharon Keuku, said their lovely union faced a lot of fights from social media users
- Azizi, a 28-year-old journalist, hit back at critics, saying he was mature and knew what he wanted when he met his 23-year-old lover
- The Kisii couple told TUKO.co.ke said they do not pay attention to negative online comments as they mind their business
A handsome young man and his beautiful wife have opened up about their married life and experiences.
The couple, Cyrus Azizi and Sharon Keuku, who met, dated and married in the same year in 2023, went viral for several reasons.
One primary reason that made them online sensations is their age and appearance, which aroused criticism.
She had all qualities, Azizi
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Azizi said he was not bothered by the critics, saying he was a mature young man.
"When I wanted to settle down, I knew what and who I wanted. She had all the qualities I wanted in a woman, and when I met her, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. Many people look at us as kids without knowledge of what we are doing, but we know who we are and what we want in life," the 28-year-old journalist said.
Keuku, a 23-year-old college student, shared she faced much criticism when she introduced her husband to her friends.
Some said he had sickle cell anaemia, Keuku
She said many of her friends could not understand why she chose Azizi as he did not look her type and class.
"Some even said he looked sick with sickle cell anaemia. Others asked whether I had been unable to get any other person, but I gray-ticked them. I just grey-ticked anyone who said something that didn't make me happy," she said.
The Kisii couple said they try as much to avoid paying attention to negative online criticism as they continue with their lives.
They have a YouTube channel where they have been criticised for their appearance and age but say they do not care as much.
