The first-time MP passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 40 years old, after serving only six months of his four-year term.

He reportedly complained of chest pains at his home and was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

Kumi’s unexpected death threw the country into mourning and also shed light on more aspects of his life story.

In the days following his death, news emerged that Kumi had constructed a massive mansion in Akyem Wenchi, his hometown.

It was reported that the building was nearly completed, but the legislator died before he could put the finishing touches.

Latest reports indicate that the mansion has been completed by his family in the roughly 40 days since his death.

Kumi’s one-week commemoration was held on Friday, August 29, with an after-party scheduled at his beautiful mansion.
