The high demand for higher education in Ghana has led to the rise of a variety of universities in Ghana. Unlike olden days where higher education was expensive and meant for a chosen few, modern day higher learning does not discriminate. There are a host of Government universities in Ghana offering affordable education to learners. University of Ghana
The university offers a wide range of different courses and programs from PhD, masters, degree, diploma and certificate. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
Named after Ghana’s first president Kwame Nkrumah, the institution offers a wide variety of courses and programs for learners. They have several branches affiliated to the institution. They are equipped with modern day technological learning equipment for learners.
University of Cape Coast

University of Education, Winneba
Founded in 1992, the institution has created a reputation for offering marketable and important courses to learners in order for them to get assimilated into their careers faster, to spurn the economic growth of Ghana.

Private Universities in Ghana
These universities are owned by individuals and not the government. In most cases they are more expensive.
Catholic University College of Ghana
It leads the list of accredited private universities in Ghana. It is a Christian based institution offering a wide variety of different courses and programs. Islamic University College, Ghana

Methodist University Ghana
Located in Dansoman, Accra. The higher learning institution is an affiliate of Methodist church in Ghana. The institution has been certified by the Government to offer different courses and programs for learners.

The institution is an affiliate of the Pentecost Church located in Sowutuom, Accra. They are centered around Christian values which forms the foundation of the institution.
