3 sisters die in ghastly accident in Cape Coast

Three sisters have reportedly died after being involved in a gory road accident while travelling.

The sad incident is reported to have happened close to St Augustine College in the Central region.

According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on MyNewsGh.com, the three sisters were among five occupants of the private vehicle which was involved in the accident.

The others were a mother and her young son who were also on board the vehicle.

The accident is reported to have occurred after the said vehicle burst a tire, causing the driver to lose control of the steering wheel.

This caused the car to somersault several times leading to the unfortunate deaths.

Onlookers rushed to the scene to rescue the victims but found out that three of the occupants had died on the spot.

Meanwhile, the survivors have since been rushed to the hospital to receive treatment.

The mother and her son who sustained severe injuries are currently on admission at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

The Cape Cost Police has also confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the same facility.
