UK regulators set to dissolve Menzgold England

- The Registrar of Companies in the United Kingdom has served notice to dissolve Menzgold England

- Upon dissolution, the English Crown will assume the assets and liabilities of the company

Menzgold England may be dissolved following the serving of a notice by the Registrar of Companies in the United Kingdom (UK).

This comes after the Registrar of Companies in the United Kingdom served notice of a possible dissolution of Menzgold England.

The Registrar revealed, “unless cause is shown to the contrary, at the expiration of 2 months from 12/02/19, the name of Menzgold England Limited will be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved.”

Per a report by Myjoyonline.com, the English Crown will then take charge of all properties and rights of the company, once the dissolution is complete.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold England, Nana Appiah Mensah, was recently acquitted and cleared of fraud charges on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, by a Dubai court.

Mensah, also known as NAM1, had been in the custody of the Dubai authorities since November 2018 over a gold deal that did not go as planned.

Many, especially Menzgold customers whose investments have been locked up in the collapsed gold dealership, hailed NAM1’s acquittal.

They have expressed optimism that he would soon return to Ghana and pay back their deposits.

The deputy attorney-general, Joseph Kpemka, has meanwhile explained that the police will trigger NAM1’s extradition processes.
