Photos of Otumfuo Osei Tutu with his wife and children pop up from his 69th birthday

- The Asantehene was captured in rare family photos with his wife and children

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is undoubtedly one of the most famous men in Ghana. His popularity transcends the borders of his Asante Kingdom.

While his fame and respect are not in doubt, not much is known about his private life, especially his nuclear family, except for the fact that he is married to Lady Julia.

Well for those who do not know, Otumfuo and Lady Julia have two children, a son and daughter together.

The son, Nana Kwame Kyeretwie, is the older with sister, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem (named after Otumfuo's mother, the late Asantehemaa) following.

Though Nana Kwame and Nana Afia are in their teens, they have lived out of the public eye and are not much known.

But in a rare family moment, the two were spotted with their parents at the celebrations marking Otumfuo's 69th birthday.

In photos from the celebration sighted by YEN.com.gh, the handsome boy was seen seated right by Otumfuo while the girl sat by her mother in church during a special birthday service for the Asantehene.

Wearing white outfits, Otumfuo's wife and children really looked gorgeous just like the king who as usual was in colourful kente cloth.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Otumfuo's birthday celebrations was well-attended with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare and other leading members of government present.

Also in attendance was Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former president Mahama who got a lot of cheers over the posh car he was driving.
