Mynewsgh.com quoted Hammah as saying: "I saw this thing on Joy Fm and guess the picture that was there?

They took somebody’s [backside] in a red hat. It was not me…it was somebody’s [backside] and that was my face. That is what media is in this country."

She continued, “What does it tell people when they read that? When people read the story is about Victoria Hammah and there is an [backside] there?

The media which is a very important factor in our development I think probably have allowed political and commercial interest in their work.

It is still online and it is shameful. I will never step foot at Multimedia because I was objectified.”

Hammah, a former deputy Communications minister has for a long time been the subject of discourse that seeks to relegate her views to her body.

She has had to endure mockery of the fact that she is plus-sized and also a quite vocal gender advocate.

She however lost her ministerial job in 2013 after her personal driver recorded a conversation between Hammah and another person, with Hammah boasting that she was in public life to make money and get comfortable.
