COVID-19: Shatta Wale distributes 1,000 sanitisers to fans

Ghanaian Dancehall King Shatta Wale has successfully distributed 1,000 hand sanitisers to his fans as the country battles the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

This kind gesture, according to Shatta Wale, is to help his fans fight the disease which has been declared a global pandemic.

In a Twitter post sighted by YEN.com.gh Shatta Wale said in difficult times like these, he needs to be there for his fans who made him who he is today.

"Thank God First 1000 hand sanitizers out. So far as I know, these fans made me get here and in times like this I have to be there for them too !!! #SMFaithconcert #Staysafe," Shatta Wale wrote on Twitter.

As it stands, Ghana has confirmed five new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

All five cases have been reported in the Greater Accra Region with no deaths so far.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Twitter handle of the Ministry of Information in Ghana, the five patients who tested positive have ranged between the ages of 29 and 53.

This brings the number of confirmed cases to 16.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Shatta Wale has announced a free concert for his fans amid the Coronavirus outbreak around the globe .

According to Shatta Wale, the upcoming concert is to help his fans keep their faith in God in "these challenging."

Announcing the concert, Shatta Wale explained that the concert will be live around the globe through his official YouTube channel.

Shatta also indicated that the concert will be telecast live on all of his other social media handles.

The dates for the concert, he said, were going to be announced soon.
