News gathered by YEN.com.gh from Citi News indicated that two of those who were attacked are currently on admission receiving treatment at the Koforidua St. Joseph Hospital.

It was reported that the bees which all of a sudden attacked the individuals present leading to the disruption of the event, had been occupying portions of the ceiling for years.

Officials of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, however immediately intervened to disinfect the community centre as well as the community to ensure that it was bee-free.

In other news, some delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Juaben Constituency of the Ashanti Region have invoked curses on the national executives of the party.

Their action comes after the party disqualified their preferred candidate from contesting in the parliamentary primaries.

Unhappy with the circumstances of the disqualification, the delegates wore red armbands and marched to a river called "Asuo Abena" with schnapps and a sheep to invoke curses on anyone who was involved in disqualifying their candidate.
