Photos from the final funeral rites of popular radio host Nana Agyei Sikapa pop up

Ace broadcast journalist, Nana Agyei Sikapa has been bidding farewell by his former employers, Despite Media, family and loved ones.

The final funeral rite of the late broadcaster is being held at Mile 7, Achimota in Accra.

Fadda Dickson, Nana Ama McBrown, Kennedy Osei and other colleagues of Nana Agyei Sikapa were seen paying their last respect to deceased in photos sighted by YEN.com.gh.

The Chief Executive Officer CEO of Despite Media, Dr Osei Kwame Despite and his brother, Dr Ofori Sarpong were also spotted at the funeral grounds.

Nana Agyei Sikapa, who passed on at the age of 55 on June 19, 2020, will be laid to rest at his home town.

Daniel Adjei Peprah, a renowned broadcast journalist, popularly referred to as Nana Adjei Sikapa, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020.

According to reports, he has been sick for the past two years.

The late Sikapa was a professional teacher, he taught both in Atwima Agogo and Abuakwa R/C Primary School for several years.

Nana Sikapa is survived by a wife and seven children.

He joined the Despite Group in 2003 as a newscaster upon the invitation of CEO, Osei Kwame Despite. He established himself with his famous and unique appellation style of radio presentation.

Reports say he was the only broadcaster who prepared funeral dirge announcements.

Nana Agyei Sikapa was the second death at Despite Group in the space of one month.

Earlier, Kwadwo Wiafe, the host of Neat FM’s drive time also died.

The company said he passed away after a short illness.
