Nanda kills Suryagupta, but he manages to save his wife, who later gives birth to a boy and conceals him in a cattle pound. Moora is later captured and held in captivity. Fortunately, a lady named Kanika find Moora's son and names him Chandra, unaware of his true identity.
8 years later
Chandra is now grown up and resides with his adopted parents. His mother, Moora, is still held in prison and swears that her son will be Nanda's end. During this time, Nanda and Avantika bear a daughter named Nandini.
At home, Chandra is facing problems with his father and decides to leave for Magadh. Here, he meets Chanakya, a teacher that is attempting to save Magadh.
The teacher takes great interest in the boy and notices his talent. He realizes that there is a great chance that Chandra will be Magadh's future king and the saviour that they have been looking for all along.

Because of Chandra's greatness and immense talent, he grows up to become the best among Chanakya's students. Also, Nanda's daughter is grown up, about the same age as Chandra. Chandra and Nandini marry and create a strong relationship. However, Malayakutu and Helena generate a lot of problems for the couple.
Nandini has a twin sister called Roopa that other people do not know about. Durdhara sees Nandini's twin sister attempting to kill Chaaya by pushing her and thinks it's Nandini. Later, Chandra and Chanakya take advantage of Nandini's similarity to Roopa to capture Nanda. Unfortunately, Nandini tries to warn Nanda who then stabs her mistaking her for Roopa.
Chandra manages to save Nandini, but Roopa gets killed. Chanakya is not happy about the close relationship between Chandra and Nandini. After some interesting happenings, Durdhara dies, and all blame falls on Nandini after she is erroneously pointed out instead of Helena. This makes Chandra banish Nandini from Magadh.
8 years later
The story first jumps to a year later when Chandra is a father to Durdhara's son, Bindusara. Also, Helena is the Chief Empress of Magadh. Chandra decides to bring Nandini back to Magadh, making her a servant.
Later, Chandra decides to marry a poisonous seductress named Vishaka that tries to kill him. Nandini foils all attempts saving Chandra's life multiple times.
Eight years later, tragedy strikes and Nandini perishes. So, how did Nandini die? The beginning is good as Chandra and Nandini have a happy life with their son Bindusara. Also, she is pregnant with Chandra's child.

In the end, Chandra and Bindusara overpower a mysterious man's army and kill him. Chandra and Nandini are reunited and live happily ever after.
